Eco-Friendly Initiatives Mark 14th Edition
The organizers implemented four green initiatives to reduce environmental impact. Runners could register for a reusable cup to minimize plastic waste, with water stations providing clean drinking water throughout the course. Pacers and sweepers used flag backpacks instead of balloons to reduce waste, while ploggers collected trash during the run. Race packs for over 7,000 participants were made from bioplastic following the Reuse, Reduce, Recycle principle. Waste segregation was conducted from start to finish using the 3R approach, with recyclable materials sent to recycling organizations and a waste audit to improve future events.
